Grigio Carnico is an Italian marble quarried in the Friuilan Dolomites Natural Park. The quarries, located at a height of about 1600 meters, are covered by snow and ice most of the year and are productive only in the warmer months. Grigio Carnico is a marble rich in history, charm, extremely elegant for its intense dark gray colour adorned with thick irregular white veins that generate a fine and at the same time decisive contrast.
Grigio Carnico stands out once polished thanks to its structural compactness. It is used for floors, fireplaces, benchtops, and mainly especially indoor. The Grigio Carnico slabs are usually medium to large in size, and available in good quantities. Thanks to its veins, Grigio Carnico is well suited for book-match installations, furthermore its vivid colour also favors combinations with other lighter marbles, to create a checkerboard pattern and other astonishing matches.
